Chromeデザインが新しくなります！！
私も、この記事を見て「どこが変わったの？」と思いましたが、確かによくよく見ると影があったりなかったりしていますね。
WebブラウザGoogle Chromeのアイコンが8年ぶりに変更される。5日(現地時間)に提供された開発者向けのCanary版向けにアップデートが適用されており、今後各種デバイスでも新しいアイコンが使用される。
新アイコンは、従来のものから影を取り除いたシンプルなものとなり、各パーツをバランス調整したほか、色も明るくなった。また、緑色と赤色の部分については、見た目を整えるためそれぞれにわずかなグラデーションを施している。そのほか、各OSにあわせたアイコンデザインの調整なども実施している。
そもそものGoogleの名前の由来
もともとは「Googol（ゴーゴル or グーゴル）」という、10の100乗という意味で、世界中の多くの人にサービスを利用してもらい、世界中の多くのユーザーが求める情報を提供したいという願いを込めて、「Googol」という名前にするつもりが、ドメインを取得する際に、「googol.com」を間違えて「google.com」と申請してしまったため、「Google」になったと言われています。

Chromeの由来
『chrome』はウェブブラウザにおけるメニューやツールバーといったインターフェイス部分を意味する。
開発するにあたって、インターフェイスに注力していることからChromeと名付けられたようです。
