”良いもの”それは主観的なものと客観的なものの双方が存在します。
そんな双方から認められる”評価”とはいったいどのようにすれば受けられるようになるのでしょうか。
しかし、自分にとっても相手にとっても「良い」発表・論文・研究を実現したいなら、「研究者（発表者，執筆者）自身にとっての良さと、読み手や聞き手にとっての良さは違う」ということを認識しておいた方がよいでしょう。

良い発表とは？
発表者自身にとっての良い発表とは、「自分の発見や成果の価値を認めてもらい、その価値をさらに高めるための援助をもらえるもの」です。自分では重要な発見や成果を得たと考えていても、それを認めてもらえなければ、後々埋もれてなかったことになってしまいます。そうなってしまえば個人的にも悲しいですし、研究分野全体としても損失ですよね。なので、発表によって価値を認めてもらう必要があるのです。良い発表をしたときには、その価値をさらに高めるための支援も得ることができます。質疑応答を通じて、見逃していた点への気付きやアドバイスをもらえることもそうですし、一緒に研究をしたいと声をかけられることも研究の発展のきっかけとなり得ます。
一方で、聞き手にとっての良い発表とは、「自分にとって価値の高い情報を限られた時間内で効率的に与えてくれる情報源」です。研究者は、限られた時間で最大の研究成果を挙げなければいけないため、情報収集の効率に敏感です。予稿集に記載された発表タイトルを見て、自分が成果を挙げる役に立ちそうであればその発表を真剣に聞き始めますが、それほどの価値はないと判断すれば、聞きにすら来ないか、途中で聞くのをやめてしまうことでしょう。
良い研究とは？
研究者自身にとって良い研究とは、「自分が実現したい未来に向かって、世界を少しずつ、継続的に変えていくための着実な一歩」です。一つの研究だけで何かがすぐに大きく変わるわけではありません。論文としてまとめる上で都合のよい結果が得られるとも限りません。ただ、その研究をすることによって、得られた結果がある意味失敗の結果であったとしても、その先にしたいと思っている研究を始めるためのきっかけとなるのであれば、それは良い研究だといえるでしょう。
一方で、本人以外の研究者にとって良い研究とは、「自分では取り組めていなかったが、解かれるべきだと常々考えていた重要な問題を解決できそうな研究」です。つまり、自分が実現したい未来に向かって世界を変えていくうえでの穴を埋めてくれる研究です。一人ではできることが限られているため、夢が大きな研究者は仲間を探しているのです。
要はどれだけ発表の内容が大切であるということです。
発表における声などその発表を印象付けるものは大切であるとしても、その内容自体が薄く中身のないものであれば意味がないということです。例えば、学生のころまでなら何かとごまかせるのかもしれませんが、授業中に他人の発表を聞いていても興味がわいてこないのはその内容が自分にとって有益ではないからです。
声のトーンやパワーポイントは2の次なわけで、これはどのような人にどのようにして届けたいのかを深く考え、より”有益なもの”にしなければいけません。そのためにも、事前の下調べ、新たな発見を提供できるようになれば自他ともに”良い”と思うものが作れるのではないでしょうか。

What is a good presentation?
A good presentation for the presenter is "one in which the value of his/her findings and results are recognized and in which he/she receives assistance to further enhance the value of his/her findings and results. If that happens, it would be sad for you personally and a loss for the research field as a whole. Therefore, it is necessary to have your value recognized by your presentation. Being approached to do research together can also be an opportunity to develop your research.
On the other hand, a good presentation for the audience is "a source of information that gives me valuable information efficiently in a limited amount of time. Researchers are sensitive to the efficiency of information gathering because they have to maximize their research results in a limited time. If they see the title of the presentation in the proceedings and think it will help them achieve their results, they will start listening to it seriously, but if they decide it is not worth their time, they will either not even come to listen or will stop listening halfway through.
What is good research?
For the researcher himself, good research is "a steady step toward the future he wants to achieve, to change the world little by little and continuously. One research alone will not immediately change anything significantly. It is not always possible to obtain convenient results that can be summarized in a paper. However, even if the results obtained from the research are, in a sense, a failure, if they provide an opportunity to start research that you want to do in the future, then it is good to research.
On the other hand, research that is good for other researchers is "research that may solve an important problem that I had not worked on myself but always thought should be solved. In other words, it is research that fills a hole in changing the world toward the future you want to achieve. Researchers with big dreams are looking for colleagues because they are limited in what they can do alone.
The bottom line is how important the content of the presentation is.
While the voice and other aspects of the presentation that make it memorable are important, they are meaningless if the content itself is thin and lacking in substance. For example, you may have been able to fake it until you were a student, but the reason you are not interested in listening to other people's presentations in class is that the content is not beneficial to you.
The tone of voice and the PowerPoint presentation are secondary to the content, so you need to think deeply about the audience and how you want to reach them, and make your presentation more "useful.
