今日は”ついにコロナウイルス収束か！？”そんな話題についてです。
そろそろマスク生活にも嫌気がさしてきたころかと思いますが、来月から解放されるかもしれません！！
新型コロナ対策としてのマスクの着用を個人の判断に委ねるとした政府の方針を受けて、デパートやスーパーなど12の小売業界の団体は来月13日以降、統一的なマスクの着用の推奨をやめ、個人や事業者の判断に委ねることを決めました。
マスクの着用に関するガイドラインを見直したのは、全国のデパートで作る「日本百貨店協会」や、主なスーパーが加盟する「日本チェーンストア協会」、それにコンビニなどが加盟する「日本フランチャイズチェーン協会」など12の業界団体です。
12の団体では現在、新型コロナの感染対策について共同でガイドラインを定め、来店客には店内でのマスクの常時着用をお願いし、従業員にもマスクの正しい着用を徹底するなどとしています。
これに対して、新たな政府の方針を受けた今後の対応を24日、連名で公表し、来月13日以降は統一的にマスクの着用を推奨することはやめ、個人の判断に委ねるとする方針を示しました。
ただ、事業者の判断として、感染対策や事業上の理由などで利用者や従業員にマスクの着用を求めることは許容されるとしています。
そのうえで、新型コロナウイルスの感染症法上の位置づけが「5類」に移行することし5月8日をもってガイドライン自体を廃止するとしていて、今後は、各社の対応が焦点となりそうです。

政府の呼びかけはあくまで任意という形ですから、拘束力が大きいわけではないようです。コロナウイルスが流行したときに出現した”マスク警察”のように今度は”逆マスク警察”というものが現れるかもしれません。
これらが新たな偏見や差別を生み出さないように、慎重に進めていく必要がありそうです。

In response to the government's policy of leaving the wearing of masks as a measure against the new corona to individual judgment, 12 retail industry organizations, including department stores and supermarkets, have decided to stop uniformly recommending the wearing of masks after next month 13 and leave it to the judgment of individuals and businesses.
The 12 industry associations that reviewed the guidelines on the wearing of masks include the Japan Department Stores Association, which is made up of department stores nationwide, the Japan Chain Stores Association, of which major supermarkets are members, and the Japan Franchise Chain Association, of which convenience stores are members.
The 12 organizations have jointly established guidelines for countermeasures against the transmission of the new strain of coronas, and are asking customers to wear masks at all times in their stores and ensuring that employees wear masks properly.
On the other hand, on March 24, the two parties jointly announced their response to the new government policy, stating that they would no longer recommend the wearing of masks in a unified manner after next month's 13th, but would leave it to the judgment of each individual.
However, it is acceptable for businesses to request their users and employees to wear masks for infection control and business reasons.
The guidelines themselves will be abolished on May 8, when the status of the new coronavirus under the Infectious Disease Control Law will be changed to "Class 5," and the focus will likely be on the response of individual companies.

Since the government's call is voluntary, it does not seem to be very binding. Like the "mask police" who appeared when the coronavirus epidemic broke out, the "reverse mask police" may appear in the future.
We need to proceed with caution so as not to create new prejudice and discrimination.
